Christmas Tiiiimee

Hey dolls,
I just thought I'd share some pictures from over the Christmas period.

I'm Christmas sick already - I miss it and it went far too fast! It's the one time of year my whole family gets together and the whole spirit and joy of it is so so lovely; the manic buzz of everyone in the same room, kiddies playing with their newest toys, the gorgeous smelling food and twinkling decorations! We're still rockin' our christmas tree and dancing lights in our house and have a mountain of leftover food that I keep munching at regular intervals.

I'm still going to share some of my lovely presents with you all as I'm super excited about some of them! I got a real selection of goodies so keep an eye out in the next few days.
But for now enjoy some Christmassy photos!

Christmas Party Outfit

Hey y'all,

Merry Christmasssss eep! I hope everyone has had a lovely day, spent it in good company, eaten lots of yummy food and got lots of awesome presents!

It was pretty low key today at my house. I just spent it with my immediate family, eating an insane amount of delicious food, exchanging presents and watching some really disappointingly unChristmassy TV!
Boxing day in our house is the day when all the extended family come around though, bringing mayhem and chaos with them. Its so nice to have everyone altogether every once in a while though, and it's always been tradition in my family to have the huge full on Christmas dinner both days which I LOVE!
I'll add a few photos of both days in a little while :)

Last week was full of Christmas parties and work dos so I got lots of opportunities to wear some of the Motel pieces I picked up from the Sample Sale. I just wanted to share a particularly Christmassy one I wore to one of my works' Christmas party's last Thursday! The whole outfit was mostly red and black which I've been rocking a lot this December and the dress is glittery in places too which makes it even more perfect for this time of year. I styled it pretty simply with some black tights, red ankle socks and gorgeous black wedges which I bought recently. I also added some tacky Christmas gloves and Santa hat - gettin' in the spirit an' all! ;)

Hope you like the look, the white furry coat is also from Motel Rocks from quite a few seasons back and I'm still so in love with it. It's surprisingly light and I just throw it over anything and it keeps me cosy as!

Furry Coat: Motel Rocks
Dress: Motel Rocks
Gloves: Ann Summers
Ankle Socks: Topshop
Wedges: New Look
So what did Santa bring you all this year?

I'm planning to share a few of the lovely presents I got with you all over the next few days so keep your eyes peeled for them!

But for now, enjoy those leftovers and if you've got more days off work enjoy them! I'm going to stuff myself some more tomorrow yay!

Christmas love,

Working the Motel Rocks Sample Sale!

Heyoo,

So this is my first December post I know, but with good reason as it's been a pretty busy month so far. Apart from being super giddy at the prospect that Christmas is a matter of weeks away (eeep), and squeezing in many a shopping spree where my intention is to buy presents for others yet I mostly leave with more goodies for myself, last week I had the pleasure of working at Motel Rocks' Showroom in Great Portland Street, London for their seasonal Sample Sale. This was a two day event held to sell some of the previous season's stock and also some unique pieces that never actually made it to be reproduced.
I've been to lots of their sample sales in the past as a customer and they've always gone down a treat with fashionistas wanting to snap up a bargain, and since I've been a fan of Motel for years it wasn't a hard decision when I was asked if I wanted to work both days of the sale, as well as the days before and after to help set up and clear up.
Every sample sale they hold has crazy low prices and deals: a choice of three separates (e.g. a skirt, a top and a pair of shorts) for £15, two dresses, jeans or playsuits (or a combination) for £20, and really low prices on their knitwear, leather jackets and coats, so it's well worth the trip to London! It's such a great atmosphere as well, and so lovely to get talking to lots of girls who share a similar interest and love of fashion.

For all the hours I worked I also got a certain amount of clothes I could pick out and take home, which was the super juicy cherry on top! I walked away with about 5 bags in total (I worked a lot of hours), spilling over with super pretty clothes having spent ages trying them all on and debating what ones I preferred back at the showroom, and I can't wait to share some of them in a later post!

For now, here are a few snaps of the day and a sneaky peek at some of the pieces I took home with me! :) Jx

Motel: 'Dear Santa...' Christmas 2012

As part of the Motel Rocks Street Team us teamers get to take part in lots of exciting competitions, and to get everyone in the Christmas spirit the latest task is to create a mood board of all the presents we're wanting this Christmas! Quite a few sprung to mind (probably far too many - cheers to having a largeee family hint hint!!!), including many a Motel item, so I hopped onto Polyvore and created ''my fashion wishlist''.
I realise I've crammed a lot in but hell, if you don't ask you won't get right?

From gorgeous River Island handbags and Leather Look jackets, Missguided goodies including some purrdy footwear and super elegant dresses, and some of the absolutely fabulous new jewellery collection by Pixie Lott for Rock 'N Rose, which I've been lusting after since its launch last week, my wishlist is on track to make me a seriously fashionable Christmas!

Naturally, Motel feature heavily on my wishlist, my most wanted item being the Pearl Strapless Skater Dress in Black, which has an air of simple elegance. It also comes in more colours and patterns, my favourite being 'Oil Painting' which I have also included. And check out the beautiful Jeffery Campbell Litas in Black Glitter and the super warm 90's Boyfriend Coat in Black Fur. Loving them!

What goodies are everyone else hoping for this Christmas?

Don't forget to use my discount code ''JAYNAUGUSTINA'' for a brilliant 20% off your next Motel Rocks purchase!

Boohoo (woohoo!) Christmas style

I am stupidly excited. A couple of weeks ago boohoo.com posted some pictures on their Instagram of the most gorgeous christmas jumpers, which I've been drooling over ever since, and they are now live on their website! I just had a quick scroll through their 'Christmas Winter Warmers' section and I pretty much want it all!

There is a huge selection of knitted and oversized jumpers, from Reindeer, Santa and Christmas Tree designs to snowflake, navaho and aztec patterns. Then there are several different styles of leggings, from chunky knit to brushed knit, in a range of prints and colours. They also have so many cute and cosy accessories, from chunky knitted oversized scarfs, furry headbands and earmuffs to bobble hats, crochet handwarmers, and some gorgeous hat-scarf-gloves combos too!

Whats more, they have a choice of knitted jumpers and cardigans, as well as snoods, scarfs and hats, for men too! They would make the perfect stocking filler for a brother, father or boyfriend.

I just think these Christmas jumpers are all too cute. I want the lot! And they are so affordable too; all the jumpers above are between £15 - £25, so you really don't have to break the bank this jolly season!

Check out the rest of their 'Winter Warmers' pieces below. I hope you love them as much as I do!

Winter Warmers

For the first time this winter I felt a serious chill in the air today! The bitter icy type that makes my nose turn red and my fingers numb if I'm outside too long, and it got me longing for my wintery creature comforts; a furry coat (or my onesie on a lazy lounging day), a pair of fluffy UGGs, some earmuffs and a snuggly snood, and of course a Starbee's Hot Chocolate in my mittens. Yum!

So I've thrown together a collection of my favourite winter warmers that I will be wearing non-stop through the cold to come, including some furry coats and outerwear I bought from Republic and Hollister, my BooHoo onesie, my favourite Ugg boots, the cosiest slippers courtesy of Bedroom Athletics and Ugg, a few pretty River Island jumpers, and the all important accessories from River Island, Ugg and Hollister!

Juicy Couture - #givemewhatIwant

The fabulously fashionable brand Juicy Couture are currently running an Instagram competition for people to upload pictures of their Juicy Holiday Wishlist, the prize being a $1000 Juicy shopping spree AND a holiday for two to Los Angeles. Ummm, yespleaseandthankyou?!
Considering I practically live on Instagram and absolutely love Juicy Couture this competition couldn't be more up my street!

So I had a little roam around their website and clipped my fave pieces to Polyvore so I could put them all together on one set, and here's the final product:

This is definitely how I'd wear this seasons Juicy right now! I've chosen lots of pinks, naturally, and a gorgeous pair of metallic jeans, teamed with a sophisticated blazer and some of my favourite accessories!

So Juicy... #givemewhatiwant? ;)

Tattoo me Beautiful

I'm a tattoo virgin. Actually, I'm also a piercing virgin; a revelation that seems to horrify people when I tell them, if their facial expressions are anything to go by. I've accompanied many friends to get themselves pierced and inked, but just never had the guts to make a permanent mark on myself, nor have I particularly felt the need/want to either, until recently. I also get bored of things far too easily; that tasty chocolate bar I was munching last week, or that song I couldn't get enough of, yeah they're no longer my friends dontcha-know, so I'm also worried I'll get a gorgeous tattoo and love it for a few days but when I realise it's never coming off I can guarantee there'll be a time where I want it gone gone gone!

Regardless, lately I've got really really into little tattoos. I definitely want something small 'n' elegant, something that has meaning and a reason behind it, and I currently reaaally like the idea of getting one on the inside of my finger! At the moment I'm toying between a symbol or a specific word, but there are far too many options! And, as I'm discovering, many of them have already been done a hundred times over, whereas I'd like mine to be at least a little bit original.

Nevertheless, I collected a few of my favourites into a collage and I'm especially taken by the infinity sign intertwined with the heart. I'm using this as a little bit of a push, a constant reminder, to maybe eventually be able to add my hand to the mix with my first little tattoo. It might not seem like such a big deal, but for someone as fussy and undecided as me it kinda is!

Hope you enjoy these beautiful creations as much as I do!

Wedding fever

Having got completely addicted to Pinterest and Polyvore recently I've been discovering the most beautiful creations, ideas and pictures - many of which are wedding related, and since I'm completely in love with anything wedding-y means I am in total heaven. I can happily sit on either site for hours re-pinning inspirations or creating sets for whatever I feel like at the time.

Wedding fever

I used a few of my favourite pins to create a couple of sets on Polyvore - including some beautiful ideas and moments for a wedding day - and below is my absolute favourite wedding dress - a creation by Essence of Australia - and an engagement ring I have fallen head over heels for! Want - Need - Love!

Currently loving...

I'm sure I'm not the only girl who goes shopping, falls deeply in love with something, goes home and lusts over it for a while longer, then a day later decide I'll definitely regret not buying it... :)

Yeahh, I did that more than once today... so here's a few I fell in love with/bought/wore earlier.
Currently loving...

I've also been listening to the beautiful Lana del Rey non stop lately! This is her newest release: Ride.

Each one of her videos are just mesmerising, and I can't wait to get my paws on her new album: Born To Die: Paradise Edition.
